Selection of mediators and 8 days Basic Mediation Training

An open call was issued for individuals interested to volunteer as mediators within the Buddhabhumi Municipality. Following the application process, candidates were interviewed in each ward of the municipality. Three mediators were selected from each ward of the municipality through a rigorous process.  Upon the selection of the mediators, an eight-day basic mediation training was conducted. Facilitated by Mr. Baburam Poudel and Mr. Jhabindra Adhikari, the training equipped the mediators with essential tools and techniques for conflict resolution within the community. The event was organized at Gorusinghe, Buddhabhumi from August 03 to August 08, 2023. Through this initiative, the mediators gained valuable skills to effectively address and resolve conflicts, contributing to peace and harmony within the municipality.
