
NVC Training for the Educational Stakeholders
In collaboration with the Civil Peace Service (CPS) GIZ Nepal, the Forum for Protection of Public Interest - Pro Public, along with the Department of Conflict, Peace, and Development Studies at Tribhuvan University (TU), organized a significant training event on Nonviolent Communication (NVC). This training, held on December 18th and 19th, 2023 for students and December 21st, 2023 for faculty members and representatives from various civil society organizations, aimed to equip participants with essential skills in conflict resolution and compassionate communication.
Attended by approximately 58 students from six different departments of TU, 13 faculty members, and eight representatives from various organizations, the training was a collaborative effort to foster awareness and strengthen the participant's ability to make conscious choices in life. Facilitated by Mr. Mironel de Wilde, an International Peace Advisor certified in NVC training from the Centre for Nonviolent Communication, the program emphasized the importance of compassion, self-responsibility, and self-empathy in building essential life skills.
