Internship

Background
There is no better teacher than experience. College and graduate students, who have participated in the Pro Public Internship Program, agree that the months they spent in “the real world” beyond their University gates, were among the most rewarding of their lives.

Our Goals
The Pro Public Internship Program serves two goals. First, it encourages students’ future involvement in public service by acquainting them with the challenges and rewards of public interest work. Second, it provides the public interest community, which too often operates on limited resources, with the dedication, energy, and idealism that our interns bring to their work.

Participation
All University students and researchers studying and/or working on areas such as social advocacy, human rights, public interest litigation, environment, anti-corruption and good governance, among others, can participate in the Internship Program.

Modality
Pro Public provides the platform to work, share experience and gain knowledge. The interns will have to manage all their expenses during the stay.

Procedure
Individuals interested for internship require submitting a formal request letter and CV to Pro Public. The letter must mention the field of interest of the candidates and the time duration they would like to spend with Pro Public. The letter will be submitted to the following address:

Executive Director
Pro Public
P.O. Box: 14307, Kathmandu
E-mail: propublic@gmail.com

Final Report
The interns will have to submit a final report to Pro Public about their stay and experience gained during their internship period.
