Inception Meeting Completed Successfully

The two-day project inception meeting for the Social Accountability for Gender Equality Project, implemented by Pro Public with support from UN Women, was successfully held on March 16–17, 2025, in Narayanghat, Chitwan. The meeting aimed to strengthen coordination and communication among the project team and consortium partners, and to establish a solid foundation for effective implementation across 10 local government units (LGUs) in seven districts of Madhesh, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

During the meeting, participants discussed the project’s goals and objectives, implementation strategies, work plan, team and partner roles, and reporting requirements—both technical and financial. Key formats and deadlines were reviewed to ensure clarity and alignment. UN Women's core guidelines, including those on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), financial procedures, communication protocols, and visibility standards, were also thoroughly discussed. The UN Women team joined virtually to share these guidelines, while the Pro Public team and local partners participated in person.

The meeting concluded with a strong sense of shared understanding and commitment among all participants. Members from the project team and partner organizations reaffirmed their dedication to implementing planned activities with a clear focus on achieving the project’s intended outcomes.
