NPTF/GIZ Project On Support For The Capacity Building Of The Local Dialogue Facilitators And Organizations, Establishment And Sustainability Of Dialogue Centers For Peacebuilding

Forum for Protection of Public Interest (Pro Public) with the support of NPTF, through the project entitled , “Capacity Building of Local Dialogue Facilitators and Organizations, Establishment and Sustainability of Dialogue Centers for Peace Building” has offered an opportunity for community members and members of ex-combatants from six communities (Triyuga/Udayapur, Gauribas/Mahottari, Parroha/Rupandehi, Bijauri/Dang, Gulariya/Bardiya and Binauna/Banke) to be trained and become engaged as dialogue facilitators, tasked to facilitate constructive and transformative conversations about their past, present, and future in their own communities. Healing these relationships is crucial for sustainable peace and development in Nepal. In this way, the ex-combatants and their host communities are contributing to the change they wish to see.

The goal of the project is a reduction of tensions between ex-combatants and host communities and increased peace in the project communities.
