Nonviolent Communication Workshop – November 2019
With support of GIZ/ZFD, Pro Public organized a five-day residential workshop on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) for elected representatives of Municipality & Rural Municipality of Saptari of Province No. 2 and Ilam of Province No. 1, from 14-18 November 2019 in Ilam Bazar, Ilam. The workshop was designed for elected representatives of local bodies of Saptari and Ilam districts as well as for staff from Human Rights Forum Nepal (HURF).
The training adopted andragogic method of teaching including theories, group works, role play, and refresher/games..
The main objective of the training was to provide knowledge and skills on NVC to the participants who were mostly elected representatives, to help them support the communication/dialogue between the people and build their community based on empathy taking in the needs of everybody.
