Pro Public organized five rounds of five days Advanced Training on Mediation for community mediators of Dhanusha and Sarlahi under the support of CPSP/GIZ in Bardibas from December 26, 2013 to January 26, 2014. Altogether 246 participants were trained during the trainers. Mr. Reshmiraj Pandey, Joint-Secretary of Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) was the chief guest in the concluding session of the first round of training. Mr. Pandey, on behalf of the government, expressed the commitment to support the activities of peace building and encouraged the participants to serve as a catalyst for the peaceful society. Giving reference of the piles of the cases in the formal legal institutions of the districts, LDO of Dhanusha district, Mr. Guru Prasad Subedi thanked Pro Public for being instrumental in reducing their burden and promised to continue support to foster the mediation program in the days to come.
