With the financial support of UNAIDS/Asia Pacific Leadership Forum, Nepal, Pro Public had implemented the Advocacy through Leadership Development: Development and Mobilization of 100 Young Leaders in Response to HIV and AIDS Project. The Project was implemented in ten districts of Nepal for a period of six months starting April 2006. The major objective of the Project was to build deeper understanding on the underlying cause and effect of the HIV and AIDS epidemic on health and socio-economic development among young people in the districts. Through its different activities like skill building trainings and advocacy campaigns, the project had mobilized young people and women to initiate open dialogue on HIV and AIDS at the district and grassroots level.
