Study on TRIPs

In order to identify the impact of Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPs) of GATT/WTO on the farmers, bio-diversity, food security, pharmaceutical products, consumers, and small and medium scale industries, a study was conducted by Pro Public with the support from Action Aid Nepal. This study was expected to come up with some strong recommendations to the government with the view to influencing the government's position on the third ministerial conference of WTO held in Seattle, USA in November-December 1999.
