Realizing the potential of the Agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPs) to harm the interests of Nepal, a study was conducted by Pro Public with the support from Action Aid Nepal to educate policymakers, bureaucrats, civil society organizations, academic circles and media about its impact and come out with some concrete suggestions to counter them in 2000. The study is an important source of information for the people who are involved in the fight against the likely control of agriculture by multinational companies and those who are involved in formulating policies to safeguard Nepalese farmers' interests.
