Training on Healing and Reconciliation through Nonviolent Communication successfully completed

The Training on Healing and Reconciliation through Nonviolent Communication was successfully completed on 24th December 2014 at Dhulikhel, Kavrepalanchok. A week long training focused on use of nonviolent communication in daily life of people. The purpose of the training was to train the representatives from Government of Nepal, local peace committees, conflict victims, ex-combatants, community mediators, dialogue facilitators, families of disappeared etc. about the necessity and usage of nonviolent communication in their life. There were altogether 51 participants including 6 international participants. There were 4 international trainers from UK, Denmark, USA and Sri lanka and they were Mr. Shantigarbha, Ms. Kirsten Kristensen, Mr. Duke Duchscherer and Mr. Christlin P. Rajendram respectively. On the last day, after the completion of 7 days technical session, there was a formal closing of the program. Mrs. Laxmi Kumari Basnet, Joint Secretary from Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction was the chair of program.
